Quark not finding image file correctly?

calling an image into Quark results in an overpixilated tiff image(32bit256gray checked) which doesn't display or print correctly. New developmemnt, just started. Not finding image file somehow? Using 4.11. Not a postscript printing problem.Thanks for any help.

under "Utilities" menu, choose "usage", then check your pictures menu. It may give you the option to update pictures. that's my attempt, hope you get it solved ... maddening eh? good lucky.

Did you try Edit drop down, Preferences, Application, Display tab, 24bit Color TIFs?
