When I converted fancy equations from Quark to InDesign they turned into a single space. Has anyone resolved this? Could this be because the font is missing and the substitute font doesn't know how to make ratios? Thanks.
Yes, font substitution may be an issue. You would know if the area is highlighted in pink.
You might have used a third-party equation XT that is not understood by InDesign. If so, check out the XT supplier's web site to see if they have a similar plugin for InDesign or solutions/workarounds.
