Does anyone know why I cannot see imported .eps files in Quark 4.11. They were fine when i was on Mac OS 8.1, but i upgraded to OS X and Classic and now i get the gray box with Postscript text instead of an .eps image. They print out ok, but can't view in Quark. Apparently this is a problem with OS X and Quark compatibility. Does anyone know how to fix this?? PLEASE!!!

Boot directly into OS9 or upgrade to InDesign. Quark 4.11 is soooo 20th century.

Well thank you for the advice. And i will look into that, but for now I need to get Quark 4.11 to be able to see .eps files on OS Classic on the OS X environment. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Have you upgraded your EPS files as well? Quark seems to occasionally stumble on EPS files created with the most recent Illustrator/Freehand. Save the EPS to a level of Illustrator 7.

Really - Quark has presented a bag of problems running in Classic. I am surprised you have only encountered an EPS bug. The inability of Quark to run effectively (even in the Classic layer of OSX) is why Quark is taking such heat for the delay of 6. If you require regular use of Quark, it is best to stay away from OSX. Most other apps (Photoshop, Illustrator) can work in either OS9 or OSX. Stick with OS9 to be safe until Quark gets it together.
