quark data transference problem

I have encountered problems recently with data transference from quark on the pc with quark on the mac. My document on the pc looks and prints exactly the same. When the same document is transfered to the mac, the quality is drastically altered. This has only been for the last month or so, it has always been compatable before. Problems have been encountered also when documents have been sent to a printing company and the quality again has been altered. Wonder if someone could tell me why I now had this problem.

I had problems a few months ago for a short period when every image i sent either via email or disc had altered in some way. this eventually cleared however.

my thoughts were that something had altered as a result of windows updates, this may not be so. I would be grateful if anyone can help.

What is drastically altered? Are the images in low resolution? Are they the wrong color? Do the fonts have odd tracking and kerning? What version of Quark are you using? What version of the Mac and Windows operating systems do you use?

Unless you can offer specifics about the problem, no one can offer a solution. For the time being, use these canned technical support solutions:
1) reboot your computer
2) update your antivirus software
3) update your operating system
4) update your Quark application

I am in agreement with jimoblak. What do you mean by altered.

If it is only text, it could be a font issue. They have to be the same font on both platforms. Could be a version issue. Going cross platform with the same version is easier than going up a version and cross platform at the same time.

What problems are the vendors having?
