Quark 6 unexpected quit on EPS import

OSX 10.2.8, Quark 6.0 - on import of certain EPS files Quark 6 unexpectedly quits! Tried importing the file from our OSX Server and also direct from local desktop, same result. However launching Quark 4.11 inside OS9 on same mac EPS works fine!
Anybody have similar experience or better still any ideas?

The solution to this probably is to save the eps with a tif preview instead of a macintosh preview.

try to resave the eps images from the creator application.
