Quark 6 font/crash problems 1

Using Quark 6 with suitcase X11 and am having trouble
with certain fonts not being recognized by quark upon activation. All other apps - photoshop, indesign, illustrator etc. recognize and load fonts properly.
The fonts are not corrupted and load under Quark 4/5 just fine. ALSO, when importing a Quark 4/5 document, Quark crashes repeatedly. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am also using Quark 6 and Suitcase X1. I had heard there was a problem with FontSync and QXP6 with the Suitcase XT. Supposedly X1 was to have fixed it. One workaround is to go to the Suitcase XT prefs and uncheck the Enable FontSync Support box. Give it a try and see if it helps or not. The problem I still have is that Suitcase will not open the fonts the QXP doc needs and I have to go into Suitcase and open the fonts manually. Then QXP reports the fonts as no longer missing in Font Usage. Maybe this has something to do with FontSync?

The importing old QXP docs has a weird fix. Go to the Print Center and make a fake IP printer with the address 127.0.0.1 or something like that. Set it as your default printer and then the old QXP docs will open. It's weird but it works!
