I upgraded to Quark 6.0 and have since had random mysterious problems with my graphics. All of my graphics are screen captures using SnagIt. In the past the graphics have been low resolution and have showed up fine when printed. Now even graphics with 350 resolution look fuzzy. Our commercial printer has not upgraded to Q6 so I have to backsave to Q5. The only remedy that I have found is to capture the screen shots at 350 resolution and then resize in Photoshop. This seems to work, but I can't tell until we get the next proof from the printers. Can anyone help me - besides switching over to InDesign?

resizing in photoshop will blur screen captures because it antialiases. try resizing the image in a seperate quark file and saving that page as eps. then open it in photoshop at the exact size and resolution you need, resave and place back into your file.

This route makes my printer happy because I dont give them the low res file, and my client happy because their screens look exactly like they are supposed to -bitmapped :)
