I work in Quark 5 on a PC and the files I have completed need to be saved as MAC compatible?

How do I do this?

Thank you.
Stephanie

They are completely interchangeable so long as the other computer has version 5 or 6 and the same fonts. That would also apply whether going from PC to PC or Mac to mac.

On macs running classic (Q5 or below) the mac user should enter the .qxd extension when saving so the file is recognized on a PC or OSX machine

you should just add the .qxd extension, your mac may not recognize it without it. As for fonts, if you are using true type it should work on osx.

There will probably be text reflow issues when opened on the Mac. I've never had a lot of luck opening PC Quark files. Usually works better the other way. Make sure you give them a hard copy so if they have to rework the text, they can make your breaks in the same place.
