Hi,

I have once seen a small presentation about quarantine networks. It goes as follows.

1. Laptop looks for network and connects to a quarantine network.
2a. If laptop is external laptop it remains in the quarantine network.
2b. If laptop is member of domain it gets verified whether it has all the patches and stuff installed.
2ba. If not, it remains on the quarantine network;
2bb. If so, it gets connected to the "internal" network w/ access to all resources.

Has anyone idease or information that help me to implement such a scenario?

Thanks a lot,
Beboen

Microsoft, not just A company

We're looking at rolling out Checkpoint Integrity that allows for patch checking etc and won't grant access unless conditions are met. We plan to deploy it mainly in a RAS scenario but I don't see why it wouldn't work in a quarantine LAN scenario either.
