The tape drive inventories all the slots as cleaning tape how can i overcome this in Arcserve

What Version of Arcserve are you running?
Have you modified the Device Configuration recently?
So you are saying that all Tapes Slots are shown as Yellow ( Tape Drive Slots)?

Did you assign slot 6 as the cleaning tape slot when you installed the software?

Arcserve 6.6 on NTserver. All slots show as cleaning tape. Last slot was named as Cleaning tape at installation.
