QUANTUM P1000.
Constantly get 1-85-30 error Horizontal Mapping Failure.
Scanner was unable to detect horizontal target during calibration.
Any one know where this target is please?

Chris, the calibration of the YZ axes in most libraries is effected through positional reading, either magnetic or optical ... is what tells the logic that I reach the end of travel. If a library (P1000, MSL, TS3x or almost anyone) indicates error in the location of the target is that you can not read the positional point.
This is indicative of a failure of receptor on the sensor or failure in information processing that sends the sensor to the mainboard.

In case positional sensors were optical P1000 (can not remember the model that) you can try cleaning them with isopropyl alcohol and cottonetes

I hope this information helps you.

Mr. Cairo

Thank you for the information. The problem was resolved by replacing the Controller board.
