Firstly, if you're rendering from a 3d app, try rendering the bike with an alpha channel mask instead of a green backround - it may not make a huge difference, but then again, it might.
Secondly, if the image size of the Jpeg backround is smaller than the composition, or if a too-high ratio of compression has been used on the image, then it will look crap - Remember the cardinal rule: SISO (Shit in - Shit out).
Another thing to check is that your individual layer quality is set to 'Best' and your composition window resolution is set to 'Full'. If it looks okay on screen but doesn't render well, then set your render settings to a higher quality too.

thank you, i'll check this out.... other question... The test avi i've rendered is from a CAD softwar and it's a motorbike with a glass screen. I've set the background to greenscreen... and export the movie as avi file.

I've imported the avi into AE 5.0 and changed the greenscreen to a picture. ... now..the glass screen of the avi motorbike... stayed green. ..so my question is general. How is it possible to make glass on a object in front of a greenscreen or bluescreen into alpha which will show the image or video which is on the greenscreen?

huu,.. i hope i have explained it good .. i'm german and not really good with explaining in english.

Also,.. what is a good setting project size for:
- develeoping TV commercials
- web video

I've looked up something but it's kinda un understandable 4 me =( ... so maybe u can give me some prof. input =)

thanks

From what software are you exporting your motorbike images?

Can that software export frames instead of video?

How long is your sequence?

the software called archiCAD. It's for architectural blueprinting and building animation. It's pretty good and if i'm not wrong the 2nd best software in the arichtecural sector.

Yes, u can render as single pic frequence or quicktime/avi movie.

The ding with the setting for web video or TV video commercial is, what I'm looking for too. Can u help me?

thanks

p.s.: the sequence is just 30 - 50 sec. long...nothing big. It's jsut a test drive for the greenscreen effect.

I could use the CAD software to develope 3D building via virual tour and replace the greenscreen (background) with images or clouds...

"web" size can be anything you want. I recommend some smaller, but same ratio as, your project.

If you're running Premiere, you can probably open a new project using presets. I think NTSC video is 640 x 480 at 29.97 fps.
