QT movs open in same page w/o preload?

I know this is a pretty basic question, but here goes.
I want to have a page that displays a placeholder image and then lists my .mov files below that when each individual .mov files is clciked, will then load into the placeholder image without reloading the page or a new page.
I placed an image file as my placeholder with the exact size of my .mov files
Then I made a list of my .mov files below, each one is linked to the appropriate .mov file in my directory.
How do I direct the loading of that .mov file to the placeholder location on the same page?
