I have a cs1000e rls 7.65 connected to a cisco call manager via qsig. Calls rout back and forth correctly. The customer wants to use the Office 365 voicemail off the Cisco for the CS1000 users. Preliminary testing has the calls forwarding to the voicemail pilot but it ends up getting answered like a direct call to voicemail not a forwarded call. Having a hard time finding config notes for the CS1000 using the voicemail off the cisco.

I might have the wrong information, but you say the voicemail is on a remote site through a link such as QSIG.

You will need to check that you have package 175 (NMS) in LD 22. The report below gives more information.

"Sites with networked mail cannot forward from the remote site via Q931 when using release 18. The caller goes into mail but is asked for the mailbox number. The problem has been found to be a mistake by NT, who have missed the NMS package."

Another report below is the reversal of your problem. Please look at the RCAP settings on your QSIG D Channel.

Query is that you are unable to get MWI to light up on a remote site on CISCO from a call pilot.

Problem Description

Goal:
Does Cisco Call Manager support MWI from CallPilot?

Fact:
PBX

QSIG
Cisco
MWI Feature

Problem Resolution

Fix:
Nortel's Meridian switches with CallPilot support the MWI feature. The following pre-requisites are required for the MWI to work with the Cisco over QSIG:

For the Meridian 1 PBX to support the QSIG MWI feature, the PBX must at least have an Enterprise software level (to get ISDN Tie lines) with X11 Release 25.40 or 25.40B software (to get QSIG MWI).
In addition to NMS software and Phantom TN Features, the following packages must be installed on the PBX:
- PKG 305 (QSIG Generic Function)
- PKG 316 (QSIG Supplementary Services)
- PKG 263 (Qsig Basic Call/Name Display)
- PKG 175 (Network Message Service)

The configuration of the Dchannel of the QSIG should look something like as below:

Here is a PRI using QSIG I did with a Cisco integration. Keep in mind this is still using Call Pilot on the CS1K but some of the settings do in fact look different from yours.
