QSig PRI Connection

Hi ...

Has anyone tried to connect an IPO and an Ericsson via qsig ?
My Customer have 2 Ericsson PBX at the different site and currently using TDM, the customer tell me that each PBX have PRI using Qsig.
Now the customer went to move on of these site to IPO, it's my first time to configure qsig, it's easiest way, I have some question in order to be in safe side:

1. whats the difference between QSIGA and QSIGB
2. whats the kind of cable used in connection to TDM, straight or crossover
3. is the Networking license is required in this implementation?
4. what I have to tell Ericsson side to do, or nothing since is alreay configured, note that i will kept every thing same as ericsson
programmed.


any advice would be helpful

4.That probably nees posting in the erricson forum , if the link is up run monitor on the IPO and from there you will be able to diagnose any issues , have the ISDN and SCN filters turned on.

Hi ...

if I have a 30 channel PRI, this mean I need 8 Voice Networking (8*4 = 32) to make 30 concurrent call at the same time ?

Don't know how it is with QSIG. But with SCN the licenses are only consumed for outbound calls.

you are pretty impatient it seems, especially seeing that you just signed up to get this answer and have not contributed to this forum before.

Why don't you pay a company to do this for you then you can complain if it doesn't go fast enough.

We all do this to help each other out (for free that is) not to take bread of each others tables or get a hard time if we enjoy our well deserved weekends.
Monday most people will be back and you may or may not get an answer on your request. If someone knows they will most likely give you the answer.

qsig only requires 1 Network licence for the entire Circuit (the ISDN Channel Licences control how many channels can be used).

Note an ISDN30 crossover cable is differnt to a network crossover cable.
