Message waiting Indicator is not light in Cisco phones. I have enabled Qmwi on the qsig, however have yet to light the phones. Understanding that the 4 digit number (FNA/Hunt) routes to Callpilot, how is the MWI indicator then transported back to the set? Additionally what can I look for in the d channel messaging to determine rejects of this lighting up function?

you can monitor the d via ld 97 enl msgo x with x=to the d.. that's outging, incoming is enl msgi x. to dial your cisco phones, are you dialing just the dn of the set.. my cisco wireless is 4040.. my nortel is 4041.. if your dialing a steering code or access code, then that could be your problem.. qmwi should be all that is needed for msgs in rcap.. are you gettings dns and names to and from the cisco?

you may need the pni number on both routes and in the cdb and the qsig has to be internal.. nortel does not light external stations.. you can't light a lamp on your home phone, unless you have an internal tie to that station..

9699 is my DN(Nortel) and 9889 is VM pilot. Cisco will be here shorlty to finish the install. I will try to get his config info. I had provided him everything. According to him the entire range is there.

as long as your dialing just the dn of a cisco and that same dn is the mwi in cp.. i had one where the users dialed 7 plus the 4 digit cisco dn(1000), 7 was a dsc to the qsig.. those lamps would not work.. of course the cisco did not know what to do with 71000.. when i made 1000 the dsc, lamps worked

lamp req =71000
far end reject

lamp req 1000
far end ack
