Hello to all

I am printing using a SubDetail band.

The primary key is Customer ID, where table Customer generates the Name/Address header (new page per customer).

The detail is a list of single line entries from a second table, History, whose key begins with the Customer ID.

This works fine except that I would like to suppress printing anything for customers with no history and at present a page is always printed with the name and address.

Any suggestions?

Also, I am finishing the report with an rbSummary Band containing "End of Report". If the report (not the same report as above) generates no print the rbSummary Band does not print. Help please.

Roy Thomas

r.thomas@vrigin.net

I've seen this question addressed somewhere but it's not in my FAQ from QuSoft. Have you tried their web site ( <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> )?

James P. James,

Thanks for the URL.

I have just downloaded everything in sight from QuSoft that might help. I will let you know if I find anything.

I have also just received my C++Builder 5 Pro from PcPlus, so the version of QReport is likely to be different (and better?).

Roy Thomas
I have solved the problem!

There is a filter on both the Customer and History tables. The solution is to extend the Customer Accept with an extra check of the History table.

The only problem is that you do not appear to be able to manipulate the tables that are local to the form (and filtered?), e.g. FindNearest does not work. It works when the check is on the History table, non-filtered, declared in a data module.

Regards to all,

Roy Thomas

r.thomas@virgin.net
