I get very bad GOS. all my IP-Codec-sets arre G729A. the VoIP on the G700 is using G729 [001V148:RX:196.34.184.203:16228/g729/20ms] and the Ip port od the phone is using G729A [S00021:TX:10.3.1.210:6180/g729a/20ms] Please can any one advise. I have test the Link to the PSTN using a Trend analyzer and there is no voice quaility issues.

AvayaEng,

first try to update this phone to the latest firmware. second, check if you have e1 synchronization set on the g700. and third, do you have any problems with this phone calling pstn through local g250?

thanks, Okay what I have done is routed all my calls that where going to the PSTN via the G700 to an S8500 and braking out there. there is no QOd issues.

I'm not sure where to find the synchronization on a s8300 with G700.I have set up a second DS1 card in the G700 and made a call using a Trend Analyser through the "problamtic" DS1 card and the there was no QOS problems.

If I register an IP phone directly on the G700 I get no dialtone. but make calls and there is no speech.???

When making a call from and IP Phone through the G250 to the PSTN there is no QOS Problems.
