QO27941 didnt work

I am running Arcserve 2000 with SP4. I am experiencing the problem when job expands over 2 tapes, it requests the tape and it is inserted, it will not recognize this tape unless you hit the "ok" button. In the past, this was not an issue, it would recognize the newly inserted tape and then go on. I have installed the patch QO27941 several times. Stopping all engines, rebooting server, stopping and starting RPC service, closing Arcserve Manager. It still does not recognize the newly inserted tape.
Anyone have any ideas??
