Does anyone know what this does? It is on a Windows 2000 server and the backup started skipping this and qmgr1.dat in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ Application Data\ Microsoft\ Network\ Downloader\ qmgr1.dat - skipped.

I went to GOOGLE.com and entered a search for those. They are related to Microsoft's Automatic Update.

Your computer was probably doing an Automatic Update of something at the time you ran your backup. Are you using Backup Exec OPEN FILE OPTION? Probably not, that option allows you to backup files while they are in use.

Thanks for the info. I noticed the auto update a few weeks ago but it hasn't affected anything until yesterday and we don't use it anyway. Might be a good idea to uninstall it.

Thanks again..........
