Qmail

Hi i want to setup a qmail server and get rid of exchange....but first i want to know whether qmail supports features like scheduling , calender and all that...Has qmail got all the features of Microsoft Exchnage

No it doesn't, qmail is just an MTA, meaning all it does is send/receive mail. Exchange is a groupware package. If you want a single groupware package with scheduling and all the other stuff, you might want to look at something like Lotus Domino or Novell GroupWise.

For something Linux based look here, cannot vouch for all the features you are after. Also it isn't free.

The OpenGroupware project has a free groupware product, but I'm not sure how close it is to usability.
