Qmail, vpopmail, and imap problems

Hello,
I've made my own rpm's from the qmail, courier-imap, and vpopmail tarballs and installed them. Now, multilog <defunct> shows up in processes and other weird things are happening. When I add a domain with vadddomain, I go to login and it says invalid login until i do vadddomain again. I haven't found any straight forward help to setting up a mail server with qmail, vpopmail, imap, sqwebmail, and such. Any help would be nice. Thanks.

First...what OS are you on? I'd build qmail from source and use

http://www.lifewithqmail.org

to get started. Not sure how rpming the tarballs would affect it.
