At this point in time, the organization I work for is using a site wide SpamAssassin install (everyone has the same rules and no-one has a mailbox). E-mail received on this server is processed and then passed on to the Exchange server for delivery.

In an effort to further fight the increasing SPAM problem we are experiencing, we are looking at the possibility of moving to TMDA ( Several users have volunteered to test TMDA.

My question is, how do I have some users use SpamAssassin, and some use TMDA?

My thinking is that I will need to set up separate home directories, SpamAssassin directories for each user, and then create .qmail files for each user which defines how each user's e-mail will be processed.

Does this make sense, or is there a better way to accomplish this?

Thanks for your help.

Nobody uses TMDA any more that I see, it's been a business killer for some orgs.

I suggest that you look at increasing the filtration by using:
- RBL such as "spamhaus.org"
- Leverage razor within Spamassassin
- Use valid user name lookups such as
