qmail-send crashes

ok, my mail server was running just fine, but today, i tried to send mail to one of my accounts and i got this

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at rhaes.al.itesi.edu.mx.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

then i tried to figure out what happens, and i found out that, qmail-send crashes after the daemon returns the failure to the originating account (hotmail,etc), and whe in tried to -d and -u qmail-send i got

cannot start qmail send already running

and qmailctl stat gives
/service/qmail-send up: 0 seconds

and sometimes
/service/qmail-send up: 1 seconds

whats happening ?? PD im using, virtual domains and virtual accounts.

Are you using vpopmail for virtual users? If yes, what happens when you query

vuserinfo samaniego@al.itesi.edu.mx

???? Does the account actually exist?

yes im using vpopmail for the virtual accounts, my virtual domain is al.itesi.edu.mx
and yes, the account exists

well well, i have trying to solve the problem , and i found out that the major problem is, that QMAIL-SEND cant start, keeps giving

alert: cannot start: qmail-send is already running

ok, the big deal is, that, now, i can RECIEVE, ok thats fine ,cuz QMAIL-SMTP is runnin just fine, but yesterday, heres a funny thing, QMAIL-SEND uptime was 0 but i sent some mails, and now its still 0 and i cant send, thats so weird,anyway now its normally weird so, any advices on, what process is trying to start QMAIL-SEND so many times as qmail-send/log says (lots of lines, saying "already running")

What is the contents of your /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-send/run file?
