Guys, I've read the docs a lot of times but I can't get my qmail server to relay outworld. I wanted to enable IP based relaying so rcpthosts wouldn't work for me.
rcpthost is currently empty ( but is there ).
Here is my tcp.smtp file
90.0.0.168:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""
127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""
:allow

I then created the database using qmailctl cdb command.
I'm trying to send out from my workstation which has the IP address 90.0.0.168, but it still returns an error saying "That host is not in my rcpthosts.... " .
What am I doing wrong ?
Thank you.

Ours looks something like this: (I'll leave the comments in for you)

Code:
# Allow Connections
#
# These systems are allowed to connect to our servers to deliver mail.
# This is in place to prevent spammers from bypassing the MX records that
# specify to send mail directly to postini.

192.168.0-3.:allow

# Special Blocks.
#
# These blocks allow the server to connect, but then provide a permanent SMTP
# delivery error message to hopefully get the servers to stop attempting to
# connect directly to us. Normally, connections are denied with no SMTP
# conversation.

=.sendafriend.com:allow,RBLSMTPD="-We do not allow direct connections to our server, please deliver following our MX records."
# Default Rule - DENY ALL
#
# Finally, we add the default rule to Deny all other connections. The
# tcpserver rules are read in order, so it is vital that this rule be
# placed last in the file.
#
:deny
