Hello all,

I am trying to have an email server in my DMZ forward specific user accounts into my new internal exchange server.

I have been trying to use the .qmail folder in specific user home directories.

Anyone know the format I would use in the .qmail file to forward the mail to say user@192.168.1.x?

I added an entry in the /etc/hosts file and it seems that qmail does not check that file.

The email server also has a bind server on it and my next step will be to create an internal view zone for the .local internal domain of my network.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

in .qmail-user
'user@internal.example.com'

in 'hosts' or local DNS *where resolv.conf uses it!* put a reference to 'internal.example.com' for your exchange server

OR

use a reference to your internal server in an 'smtproutes' file.
