Qmail and autoreply

I'm running freeBSD4.5 and qmail 2.0 I've got a few customers interested in using an autoreply while they're on vacation...I've heard you can set this up using dot-mail but i'm unclear on how this is suppose to work. Help

u will need to look at a UNIX program called vacation.. this is the actual program that invokes an auto reply that you may have set as a dot file in the user's home directory... the MTA [Qmai] doesn't do auto replies in itself....
