QLogic 2340 - Linux - Weird doings

Yesterday one of my HBA's went down. In messages I found following. After a rescan of the LUNs the HBA went up again.

There was no problem on our SAN Storage System!

Does anybody know, who issues the Port Data Base changes? Is there maybe a driver problem?

scsi(0): Port database changed.
scsi(0): Waiting for LIP to complete...
kernel: scsi(0): Topology - (F_Port), Host Loop address 0xffff kernel: scsi(0): LOOP DOWN detected.
