I have a QCC operator set up. Auto attendant answers calls all the time.

When the incoming calls come in (Pots lines), intermitantly a short half ring happens before the auto attendant answers it. Under lines/trunks -> QCC operator, there are no trunks assigned. How is this happening?? What do I do??

Thanks,

Killbox

set the lines to "no ring".

You can't on a QCC. You can't go into central programming on a QCC. You only can on a DLC.

What to do?

Thanks,

Do it through the Operator>QCC Operator menu. There is where you set up the parameters for the QCC the way you want them.

This is an existing customer that's had the QCC for years. The carrier changed some parameters around and routed incoming calls over the pots lines.

Ever since this, the calls do that short ring and it's driving them nuts.
Pepperz, where? I don't see anything under QCC that can change that. I also have no trunks assigned to it either. The auto attendant answers the call immediatly.

Thanks,

OK, back to my original question, do we really need the QCC.

Based on your response, the answer is NO WE DO NOT.

That being said. Get rid of that beast and make it a DLC w/o the lines, IF THE AA ANSWERS THEM THE OPERATOR DOESN'T NEED THEM, RIGHT?

So that being done, now you can see what may or may not be ringing in to the operator.

Of course, I do not know all of the programming of this system, but let me say this, early on in the life of the Legend, we realized that a QCC is only needed when you have more lines being answered by the Operator than they have buttons for.

Any other design would not require the QCC.

When the Legend first came out, they went nuts with using the QCC option.

I used to host a Conference Call with the SC's (System Consultants) telling us all the problems they had with the QCC.

Our answer was, if you dont need it, don't use it.

That way you have a Console you can program to be functional.

A QCC can only do what a QCC does, VERY LIMITED.

Again I say, if you don't need it, DON'T USE IT!

Thanks merlinman, but again, I have to spend money on man power at the site to do this. This is what I will probably end up doing.

But, the only place to assign lines to a QCC is under lines/trunks -> QCC right?? No other place that I'm missing??

Thanks,
