QBF query locking Access 2003

I have a query that is being used in a QBF. When I attempt to update the query and save it. It locks up Access 2003.

The query in question has 12 fields in it but I have run this type of query with as many as 15 fields in the past.

I have downloaded the Office 2003 SP1 and installed it but that has had not effect.
