I see a lot of references to "QB7", and yet cannot seem to find any information on it.
where does it come from?
how does it differ from the previous versions?
this is asked purely out of curiosity. [sig][/sig]
QB7 (better known as PDS) added a couple of nice features on top of QB4.5, like EMS handling and far strings. It also supposedly ships with a ncie debugger called Codeview, although I've only used the one that comes with MASM. Read this for more info for history of the MS-BASICs.
normally it lives with us, but in my opinion most of it comes by word of mouth, from one person to the next, most of the time trading the software itself, etc. then there are just some who like to go out and study it, and there are URLs like the one Toshi showed.
