I've been monitoring security on our AS400 for quite some time prior to upgrading QSECURITY from 20 to 30 to 40 using QAUDJRN. QAUDLVL is set to *AUTFAIL and *PGMFAIL. We've been on level 40 for several weeks with no problem. Just within the last couple of weeks, I've been seeing some strange journal entries and have not been able to find any info about them. They are AF entries that are generated during jobs started by IBM supplied profiles (QUSER, QTCP, QSPLJOB etc). Violation type is "A" (object access) and the object type is *DIR. Most seem to occur during IPL, but there are some that crop up during the day (print jobs, IFS access). This doesn't seem to be interfering with any functions as far as I can tell. I haven't changed any system values, so I'm wondering why I am getting these logs all of a sudden. Anybody have a clue as to what's going on here??? Thanks.
