With the qadm command you need to be SuperUser. Is there a way to give access to only this command to someone who is not a su?

hi,
the trick is to use "sudo" to enable some users to execute some commands.

Download sudo from some site (BULL, AIXPDSLIB, see links)
and install it. Add in /etc/sudoers a line as

youruser ALL=/usr/bin/enq,/usr/bin/qadm

however see

bye

Thank you, this will help

Or,
simply add the group "printq" to the user's "Group set".

It's pretty much why the group "printq" exists, to
allow specific users to revive print queues (and
manage print jobs). The user does not need to be
"SuperUser"/root only a member of the printq group.

Sudo is basically a bad idea and a security risk and
should be avoided if at all possible.

"smitty chuser" will help.

Regards
