Dear Colleagues,

Recently I replaced a Q2161-X100-D2-DSC80 card for a similar card, however, when commissioning the hicom, it does not start.

In the LCD of the card shows the number 6 and the state of the LEDs is as shown in the accompanying photo.

To connect through CONWIN screen displays the following message:

"DSC80 Card in unexpected shelf", and apparently the hard drive is not recognized.

Any advice on the subject

Thanks,

Adan

Did you replace the board with one you got from a vendor or one you had laying around?

It goes without saying that you should take anti-static precautions when doing the following, but I'm saying it anyway.

If it was laying around the battery may be bad. Swap the battery with the one in the old board. The other possibility is that you need to yank the battery for a minute to let the settings default. You'll have to reset the date and time, but that's the least of your worries.

Make sure on the jumper block on the top of the board next to the battery that the right 4 jumpers are in place (4, 5, 6, 7) - #7, the last one on the right also enables the battery.

The new board may not have come with memory, or check to make sure the old board does not have more memory than the new one. You can move the memory module from the old board to the new one.

Some DSC80 boards also have an add-on clock module attached to the board on a standoff. If your old board had the clock module installed and the new one doesn't you'll have to move that over to the new one.

I don't know what the "6" is on the display. I know when it is running there is an A. in the display, when it is done loading there is an 8, and there is some funky symbol that shows up if the switch doesn't have a database yet that's hard to describe - it looks like a backwards L with a period after it along with the top left segment being lit. Usually if the system was in service you don't have to worry about it not having a database on it.

This is all I can give you - I can't see your attachments because our organization blocks mediafire.
