not really, usually you would need more of them to be stroked "y", such as basic supp services, transfer into qsig vmail, value -added etc.

yes, you don't have enough to do much at all.

below is what a client is looking to do, with only basic as Y can i do it? i think for the MWI i need internetworking turned on.

1. Get a PRI connected between the existing Avaya and the new Cisco gateway. This will allow us to pass calls between the systems when the company start to migrate users. We will want to pass caller-ID and caller-name between the two. We generally would use either QSIG or NI2 for this.
2. Setup the PIMG boxes to allow for Avaya users to begin using the Cisco voicemail system for voicemail, rather than the existing Avaya platform. I have attached the integration guide for this. Basically, our PIMG unit connects to the Avaya on digital station lines and then we can become the voicemail system in the future when the client is ready to make the transition. Again, the attached guide, specifically chapter 3, details exactly what needs to be done on the Avaya G3 for this integration, including which ports on the Avaya we can connect to. All we want to do right now is get the Avaya and Cisco talking. We don’t want to move any users over. What we’d like to do is possibly create one test user just to verify we can accept the call and then light the MWI.

dontdeletemeagain,

did you ever figure this out? What did Cisco TAC have to say about it?

I've managed to connect an Avaya and a Cisco using a Q.931 link. You don't necessarily have to use Q-sig.

thanks. That is what I thought. I greatly appreciate your quick response.
