We look after a few IPO , different Sw levels, finding that when site loses internet Sip trunks sometime recover sometimes dont.
When they done site power cycles IPO and Sip trunks re-registers.

Looking at Sip setup on almost all sites OOS Session Timers/
Refresh Method is AUTO
Timer is ON DEMAND.

Is this wrong and could this be causing the SIP trunks reregistration failure.

Is there a recommended setting ?

Or any other areas where I should investigate.

Thanks Guys

I didn't know the settings right now. But the IPO should be able to unregister the trunk before it does a new registration.

Could be that the provider's SBC sees the IPO as still registered and denies new registration.

You need to trace to see what happens, but I had an issue with a registered trunk that when the service provider gives a specific response on the request IPO stops trying again and just puts it OOS until you restart the SIP trunk.
