Hi... :)

I am having this little problem with IE 5.5 these days...
I do not see any history logged since last Tuesday(today is friday), and I do not see the color of my visited link changed to gray(which I've set it that way in tool-color) Say that I went to and clicked one of the links in that site... and say that I go to the site again next day, and I am supposed to see the visited links with gray color, rather than the default blue color, but I do not see the color changed... :(
I am thinking that this might be happeneing because of the hard disk storage problem... I am a little bit low on C drive right now, 200MB left... Does anybody know where those file are stored??? I don't think that directory is the temporary internet files, because I've moved that directory fro C to D long time ago and the history and link color were working just fine and I just noticed that yesterday...
Can someone help me here???

TIA

Jason

Jason,

Sounds like somethings corrupted somewhere.

I would suggest you completely clean IE's cache and other files including the index.dat files

Click Start, click Shut Down, click Restart In MS-DOS Mode, and then click OK.

At the command prompt, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command, and pressing Y if you are prompted to confirm folder deletion:

cd\windows
smartdrv
deltree cookies
deltree history
deltree tempor~1
exit

The neccessary files and folders will be rebuilt at startup.

The do a scandisk and defag.

Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools>InternetOptions, click the Delete Files and Clear History buttons. Click the Settings button and choose a reasonable size for the temporary internet files directory. i'd suggest 40MB for a 56K connection, as little as 10MB for cable or DSL.
