Q: on updating site?

I have two related questions:

1) Is there a way to have DW MX (Mac) update ONLY the files I have made changes to, instead of all the files in a given directory when I "put" a html file and then am asked if I want to "include dependant files"?

2)
I have a custom.js file that wants to be in multiple directories in order for the javascript to work properly. the file needs to be the same in 3 different directories. Is there some way to make DW copy the changes I make on on of the three apply to all three?

1) Use Synchronise, under the Files panel>Site>Synchronise

2) Why does the file need to be in 3 locations? Or use copy paste. Take a backup of the original .js file make your changes and then find and replace old code with new.
