Hi.

I have a system with Vista and office 2007 on it. I want to be able to install Office 2003 as well, seeing how 2007 is so unique. Anyone have any experience with it? I have heard no matter what, 2007 erases old installation when it runs or when you run either version it wants to re-install the software.

First of all you must install 2003 first and then install 2007 - installing 2003 on top of 2007 is almost cerain to cause problems in 2007.

Secondly, the behaviour you roughly describe:

(a) doesn't happen with Excel or PowerPoint
(b) can be stopped in Word with a registry tweak. See (c) You're stuck with in Access

Enjoy,
Tony

Thanks, Tony.

I assume with 2007 already loaded, I would install 2003 and then re-install 2007.

I just need re-assurance from someone else that the water is warm before I jump (and not a la Bill Cosby..... now that really tells my age)

It would probably be safer to uninstall 2007 first but I'm not aware of any specific problems that might arise if you don't.

Enjoy,
Tony
