Q about banner exchanges 2

Hi!
I have a question about banner exchanges

I joined this one banner exchange where they said that they do a 1:1 ratio of showing my banner somewhere else in exchange for an impression on the page where the banner is on my site.

However I have noticed that the owner's banner shows up at least 4 times b4 anyone elses appears on each refresh - what is up with that? To me it does not look correct.
I thought that the banner would show a different banner every refresh?

Am I not understanding something correctly?

correction - i refreshed the page at least 15x and still the owner's banner shows up!

Have you emailed the banner exchange owner? If so what was his or her response? I'm presuming that you were supplied with some code to place in your pages. Can you post that code or a link to you pages?

I never thought of looking at the code lol. I thought it would be way more complicated than that!

What can you tell from the code?

Sorry, I can't tell you why from your code. Some banner exchanges, like the old linkexchange (now owned by ms) used static code not asp.

I think that they are doing a check on where the page came from. When you do refresh, the page comes from itself, so it doesn't change. When you leave the page and then open it from a that other page, it changes logos.
