Hello everyone
We have just upgraded from zfd3.2 to zfd7. We have always used the linux boot partition on the workstations to pull down images and so on, but now we are going to use PXE instead. My question is:
When using linux boot partitions the computer name and stuff is stored on the linux partition and restored after the machine has pulled down a new image, right ? Where will the machine get computer name from when pulling down image with PXE boot ?

From the image safe data, stored in an area of the hard disk that is protected from reimaging. When you drop an image onto a system and it first boots up, a tool called ZISWIN will run, read this data and set the computer name for you.
