I took some older Procomm code before 4.8 and ran the conversion Utility on it and here are some questions:
1. Can I safely assume that if I choose Windows 1.x when the program is unable to detect the version of the code, that the code will get checked and modifed for ALL versions between 1.0 and 4.0 ?
- In other words will selecting the 1st 1.x version on the converter ever hurt the new code output, if it was really written in 3.x and/or v4.x since I don't know myself ?

2. Several new un-documented commands get placed in my code, like pw4transmit and pw4waitfor, and I alwys use PW4.8 and can only find support & examples for transmit and waitfor. What are these new commands do differently ??

3. Sometimes the converter says unable to process file or just quits and exits with no new file generated.
Are there any updates or EC's to the current 4.8 CDROM release ??

Thanks, Willy

For the most part, I recommend trying to compile the script as-is in the new version of Procomm instead of using the conversion utility. As you noticed, it adds procedures such as pw4transmit and pw4waitfor to emulate how certain commands worked (differently) in previous releases. Certainly any script from 4.0 on should be able to be compiled by version 4.8.

Regarding updates, there are none for the conversion utility, but there are one or two updated modules that I link to from my site.
