pvxwin32.exe problems

Hi, we are running MAS90 ver 3.61 on a Windows NT Server. I have 10 computers connected to the server, all running Windows 2000. Friday when we left work, everything was running fine. Monday morning rolls around and only 4 out of 10 computers can access MAS90. The following error message comes up:

PVXWIN32.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.

I have tried uninstalling the MAS90 workstation program on a few computers that have this problem and reinstalling, and it does not seem to help.

We have contacted the company that administers our MAS90 program and they have yet to come up with a soloution.

Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated! 10 people sharing 4 computers is not going well!

Hi Eroy,

Not much to go on, but what I would attempt first is to see what applications/tasks are running on a working workstation vers. one of the non-working.

Also on the workstations that are not working, I would remove all of the unnecessary startup programs (including any anti-virus programs) just to see if it's a confict with another program.

Did those 4 workstations do any Windows/IE updates on Friday ? Alot of times these Windows updates only start working after a re-boot, which if running Windows 2000 may only have been done on Monday morning.

Also were any new applications installed on Friday

Found it...we have the Klez virus.

Nothing to do with MAS90...
