Hi Group, up until a month or so ago I was able to remote in to PBX via putty session. I would enter Host name/ip address in Putty Config window and I was at the command line to enter user name/password.
Now I get a Putty Fatal Error window with message "Network Error: Connection Refused"

Any thoughts?

My I.T. group says its on the PBX side.

Thanks!

Are you able to ping the system from your PC?

Is it something like the insecure sessions have been disabled in the CS so you SSH or RLOGIN?

bignose21 we are on latest version 7.5?? Not sure about the insecure sessions question.

I have to use the ProComm terminal for any work now.

Is there somewhere in software I can look to see where/when connection was lost?

you can look at the setup in LD 117
=> STAT SHELLS INSECURE
=> STAT SHELLS SECURE

show what types of sessions are enabled

have you had an update to your PC's anti virus???

Thanks I will check these items when I return to office.

Curious, would the fact that I can use Element Manager make any difference? It does use the same ip address as putty.

No you would normally Putty to the ELAN address of the Callserver (Unless you were looking to go in the sig server for trouble shooting etc.) whereas element manager uses the TLAN address of the SS hosting EM.

Just a shot in the dark can you SSH into the Sig Server TLAN address using putty, login with the admin2 then "cslogin" to the switch or ssh from the SS to the Callserver. If you can then the chances are the port maybe blocked to the ELAN for SSH/RLOGIN in an ACL or Firewall.

web browser uses different ports hence the anti virus question

Does Rlogin work? I have had this before and RLogin normally works fine

ACTD, yes, RLogin did work. SSH is the default and just recently began giving me error message.

Thanks again to all!
