Putty hand up

Hi all,

I got the problem with my USB to serial convertor while connecting to the C11.
Sometimes the Putty hand up without any response.
After I closed the Putty and tried to open the com port and failed.
The only way is to restart my pc and connect it to the C11.

Any suggestion to resolve this problem.

Is this more of a computer problem?. What Comm port was assigned when you plugged the USB cable in?. I tend to change mine to a lower comm port between 1 and 4 as I used Procomm Plus and ZOC to access any Meridian system TTY Serial port and I also use the standard emulation settings of 8, 1 and None with VT320 or VT220 used along with X Modem set.

That usually works OK for me.

I use Zoc all the time and com port 13 works fine, I used to have issues with my old one as you describe but my solution was replace it

I try both ZOC and procomm plus, the result was the same.
May be something wrong with my pc.

try updating to the latest drivers for your given usb/ com port converter

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

You can also set the com port to something that wont clash, i use 13 for mine and seems to be solid. Old one that I had used to stop often and had to reboot to solve, but new one from plugable works ok.

I recommend Profilic usb to serial as of Windows 10
