Sorry these may be pretty basic questions but I have only been uning Premier for 2 days now and I still can seem to find a place to put text on top of the video. I don't have any other problems with the programs and everything is pretty easy to use other than that.

Also, what is the minumun amount of hardware I need to capture video off my regular Hi8 Camcorder?

Create your title -> Create New...
Make sure the opaque box is not checked in the titler window.
Save your title & import it back into your project.
Put it on V2 or higher... over the section of video on track 1A or 1B.
Right-click on it... Select transparency... alpha channel.
Use rubber bands under the title to fade in & out if you so desire... just like you would do for sound.
Render, hit <enter>
As for your other question, can't answer that one!

;-)

Does Adobe 5.0 support DV with an IEEE port? Th program recognizes that my camera is connected because it brings up extra settings in the capture menu, but I cannot get the program to capture my video when I go to the capture movie selection.
