Putting archive on DVD

I am constructing an archive using hundreds of linked PDFs, this works beautifully on my hard disk but when I transfer the files to DVD the links fail as the index PDF, now on the DVD apppears to look for the link at the original hard drive address. Which it naturally cannot find.

Help!!
