Working on a Mitel 3300 MXe R8.0.9.20 :

So, for call accounting purposes, I want to insert the Account Code Feature Access Code and then individual Account Codes into Speed Call numbers. Having been through the Help documentation it seems I should be able to do this but when I dial the Speed Call number it just shows "Enter Number" on the handset display. I've tried inserting a Pause in various places but that also gets me nowhere.

Does anyone know where I'm going wrong?

Cheers in advance.

Make sure you put a # at the end. I've done this fine.

so if youe FAC for Account code is *40 and the accound code you want to enter is 1979 then the code should be *401979#

Try it

How many digits are defined in the account code length within the COS of the phone? I believe the default is 12, so unless you are using 12 digits, then the system will wait until you do enter 12 digits. But Mitelmatt is right, the # will signal the end of digits being entered as long as that is enabled in the System options form.

It is possible to automatically dial an account code that is defined on a set by set basis. Same account code would be dialed on all calls based on the set making the call.

Would this suit your purpose?

Thanks for the tips. No love so far though.

kwbMitel - not really needing a set based account code, its to bill out calls made by Receptionists (we're talking about a Serviced Offices setup here) to the companies they are calling. i.e. trying to tie the Account Code to the Speed Call number, so they just transfer to a cell/mobile number which is in a Speed Call and the Account Code is automatically inserted.

So, as per Mitelmatt's suggestion - an example Speed Call entry would be *401979#00412345678
that being - FAC, Account Code, #, Digits to be dialed...
Am I getting that correct?

I'm still persisting, got a few sources working with me on this. Really appreciate the help these forums provide!

have done this too. don't forget the # like someone said or check the COS account code length.

good luck
