Putting a Virtual Station into SAC 2

Here is what I am trying to set-up:

I have a virtual station, say x8500 with cov path 1 = 50 and cov path 2 = 57.

Cov p 50 is set for Busy/DA only to goto some exts.
Cov p 57 is set for DND/SAC only to goto a remote point (r7).

The problem is I can't put the virtual station into SAC either with a button on my phone or using the FAC (I have console permission).

I can put other phones into SAC. I tried with x8500 having just 1 cov path with DND/SAC set, still didn't work.

Can virtual stations be put into SAC? I am doing something else wrong?

Thanks,
Sean

Sorry, forgot to include our equipment:

S8500, CM R012x.02 (I think)

put SAC on a button of the virtual stations say button 4. then do list trac station XXXX(your station to SAC) /10 ex..

list trac stat 1234/10, then status the station & see if that works

I don't think you can add buttons to a virtual station, can you?
Thanks for trying.

Is there any other way I might achieve the same effects?
(We don't have the license for vectors)

maybe if you change the set type to something like a 6408d+ or a 2420.

Control it via IP softphone...Enter FAC or push the button, logoff and see if it works. Give it a try, though I'm not sure it will work.

Thanks,

Whats the objective of your effort?

Sounds to me link you should just build the extension as a vdn and use a vector to control the call routing as you want it.

Wildcard,

I have ip software for connecting to one of our other PBXs but I don't think I have any licenses for it on my PBX so I couldn't try that. Do you know how I check?

Rgtrgt,

I tried making the station 6408D+ and it worked! The only other thing I had to do was remove cov path 57 (the one that handles SAC) as the 2nd cov path and instead make it the "Next Cover Path" in cov p 50.

Thanks,
Sean

Lets try this: make sure the below feature access code are defined:

Remote Send All Calls Activation: XXX Deactivation: XXX

Now from your extension use the feature access code followed by the extension. If at first you don't succeed try changing your extension to console permissions.

It worth a try

Hope this helps
ED

1a2 to ip I seen it all

Disp Cap, check the last couple of pages... Usually there are try buy IP softphone RTU's. Check the version, download it, configure the station etc...

Thanks,

Wildcard

1a2,

I had already tried that and it doesn't work, so far it seems there is no way to put a virtual station into SAC, which is weird because on the status page it shows "SAC activated?" even for virtual stations.
Works fine once I make the station a 6408 with no port!

rgtrgt,
I can use the Remote Send All Calls FAC as long as the station isn't virtual.

Thanks for all the responses, I appreciate it.

Sean

wildcard,

You're right we have 5 ip softphone licenses, so I tried what you said in telecommuter mode but it still didn't work. The softphone did have console permission and it worked once I changed the phone I'm trying to SAC back to a 6408.

Regards
