One our user put * in the CC field, and send email out, all of staff in company received email.
Question is:
1. Is it designed by default-* means everyone?
2. How to prevent use to put * in the TO: CC: BC: fields?

Any idea, thank you!

The wildcard character "*" is acceptable for sending to everyone within a post office the user is a member of. In order to send to everyone within a domain with more than one PO a user would have to enter "*.*" in the recipients field(s). This is the way I remember it to be under the GW 5.x systems. I assume that this is the way it is under the GW 6.x system since I have not tested it. As for disabling this feature, I do not know of any way. May be the best way to stop it would to be just to tell your users "don't do it". But this method works best if you have a electronics communications policy in place. Or you are a small company and what the boss says goes. But a policy seems to make the company lawyers happy.

I got problem fixed, there is setting in GroupWise, it calls wildcard addressing setting, we can enable or disable this setting on Domain level, Post Office Level, or user level

Thanks JackyZhang - I learned something that I did not know about 6.5.
